Number 3 for overall clarity. In spite of the fact that the background is a little more complex, the figure still stands out nicely. In the other two pieces (which are still very nice, btw ) the rendering sort of flattens the figure out and pushes it into the background.
There all different approaches and they all have their flaws but I think the best is V Rayn3rs
J.Dentons used to much black in his pallete, which is fine because it gave the picture a nice gritty and dark look, but the lack diversity in his colors is to much of a turn off for me, Darundas had a really rich pallete, and used hard strokes instead of daubs, which gave the lines a really colorful and edgy feel, unfortunately that wasn't enough to win me over. V Rayn3r softened the lines and implemented a very softly shaded cells in such a fashion that the overall look of the piece felt more organic.
A weakness that all 3 pieces share is the backround. Dentons dark background implies that there is some kind of spotlight on the subject (Goh-Goh) but the lighting on the foreground implies that the primary source of light is coming from the bottom of the picture. Darundas BG is overly simplistic, it works but its just not that interesting (and yeah I realize that that could be kind of a personal opinion), V Rayn3rs BG is actually to complex. Don't get me wrong it looks really cool but doesn't it kind of subtract focus from the foreground, and the subject of the piece (ie: Goh-Goh?)
Despite the criticisms above I honestly love them all (which is probably why I even bothered to write so much on them) and the artists did an awesome job! Much respect to all of them yes

All are great. I chose the third one though. I liked the fact that you could see more details of her face. The second one was more dark added a better theme to it but a bit of the detail seemed lost to me. The first one was great as well but the blurring on the metal semed somewhat distracting. It was a hard decision as they are all great in their own way.
