Never was a fan of Thunder Cats so can say much, though it does look well made.

i think one thing that this series might have an edge over is the story development. the original series had Lion-O already a full fledged leader and hero. this series seems like it's starting from the beginning. i think it's going to be richer for it. it'd be nice to see Lion-O's journey to becoming a hero. and anime does journeys to hero-dom the best, lol. i hope this series takes the proper cues.
