I like the original better because he's a monk, he's not meant to be snarling and thirsting for blood all the time, he's meant to be calm and reserved.
Agh... Both are good. D: Personally, I'm biased towards fine art, but the other one is rich in color. Both provide visual information on MC Monk and look great, so I like both.
How bout they both RULE! If I had to choose though, I'd go with the original. I actually kind of like that back and white look, no color would be cool. Has more of a glowing cyber-genre look to it, maybe with touches of violet/purple would be cool. TRON esque in a way. Those colors might fit stronger with the existing SHWANN uni characters. That's my thought.
I much prefer the pose and attitude of the top one, but this is one of those times when, because of the particular graphics, the colours make it look richer.
